Engineering excellence can be found right in the heart of the country.  The Midlands is well-known for its history of expertise in the field of precision engineering, nowhere more so than in the field of fabrication.

Fabrication work is carried out with precision by expert fabrication engineers and the Midlands is home to some of the best companies in the world.  Whatever type of steelwork you require, whatever the size of your project and order quantity, you will find that you will receive a great level of customer service along with high quality fabrications.

Depending on your specifications and product size, there are a number of processes that can be undertaken to produce your fabrication work.  First, the steel needs to be processed and cut to the customers’ precise requirements.  Once the component parts have been produced, engineers are able to carry out a variety of processes such as machining, boring, drilling, chamfering, bending, forming, rolling and levelling.  The steel components can then be joined together by welding, crimping or bolting or a combination of these methods.

All of these processes will be carried out following strict quality control processes, such as those that are accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008.  This ensures that all fabrication work is carried out following procedures that are thoroughly monitored throughout.

The fabrication will then be shot blasted using steel grit to remove any paint, to deburr and remove any scale before and after heat treatment.  It also will eradicate any sand left over from castings.  Once this has been completed, the fabrication will be ready for finishing.

Lycett Fabrications carry out medium to heavy fabrication work for customers across a wide range of industries.  Our production facilities run 24 hours a day, which means that we are capable of completing orders to tight deadlines.  To find out more about our steel fabrication services, please browse our website.
